JANET CLARK - NURSERY ASSISTANT

MATILDA IN CHILDCARE

My name is Janet Clark. I began working at Stepping Stones in October 2015 on a supply basis, working in various rooms in the nursery. In December 2015 I joined the staff team and I am currently looking after the children in the Pre-School. I have worked in childcare in various roles since 1990 including playgroups, nurseries, summer school and as a resident matron in boarding schools for 17 years. I have attended various courses including Child Protection, First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two grandaughters. My hobbies include theatre and cinema visits, gardening, home baking and watching Nottingham Forest where I have been a season ticket holder for many years.

EMILY PARKIN - NURSERY NURSE

B.A HONS IN EARLY YEARS PSYCHOLOGY AND EDUCATION 

My name is Emily. I joined Stepping Stones in November 2015 and I help look after the children in Green Room 1.  In June 2015 I graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in Early Years Psychology and Education. I have always enjoyed working with children, especially in the Early Years. I spend most of my spare time with my friends or church family at St. Saviours in the Meadows. I also help mentor University students. 

KAYLEIGH EVANS - NURSERY NURSE

I completed my Level 3 childcare in June 2015. I joined Stepping Stones in November 2015 and at the moment I am based in Green Room 2. I really enjoy being a part of helping our children achieve their development and helping them learn, I would like to become a social worker as my long term goal. 

My hobbies include playing video games, watching movies ,seeing performances and socialising with friends and family. 

 

ALEX LLOYD - NURSERY NURSE

My name is Alex Lloyd, I have both my Level 2 and 3 qualifications in childcare and I have worked in childcare since I was 16. I have been to France to work as a nanny with a holiday company and I worked at another nursery before coming to Stepping Stones. Stepping Stones is closer to where I live and at the moment I am looking after the children in the Red Room.

I have a little boy and he comes to the nursery and is enjoying it. In my spare time I love spending time with my little boy and our family and friends.

MARYAM HUSSAIN - NURSERY ASSISTANT

NVQ LEVEL 2

Hello my name is Maryam Hussain. I started working at Stepping Stones in September 2015 and I am currently working towards finishing my Level 3 childcare apprenticeship. I used to be a student in 2008 at Stepping Stones, I came here for work experience when I was doing my entry to employment which was part of my apprenticeship course before doing my Level 2 in childcare in 2008.

I am very happy to be back and be part of the team. I am now based in Green Room 2.

My hobbies: I enjoy socialising with friends and family, cooking and baking. I often cook for family. I also enjoy going out for meals with friends. I love spending time with my baby nieces, in addition to this I spend my leisure time reading non-fiction books.

 

GEORGIA WHITAKER - NURSERY NURSE

My name is Georgia Leigh Whitaker and I am a Level 3 childcare practitioner. I started Stepping Stones in September 2015 and I currently look after the children in the Red Room . Being part of the happiness and the development of young children is my lifes passion and I thoroughly enjoyed working with children during my college training. I am a very family orientated person and I am lucky to be surrounded young children both in and out of work. I enjoy keeping our younger family members creatively entertained as well as spending time with other family and friends.

KAHDEEN ELLIS - NURSERY ASSISTANT

NVQ LEVEL 2

My name is Kahdeen Ellis. I have my Level 2 in Early Years and Development and I have my Maths and English at GCSE Level. I have also studied at NCN college for 2 years doing my Level 2 in photography. I joined the Stepping Stones team in September 2015 and I care for the children in Green Room 3.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my friends and family. I help my mum with her catering business at the weekend aswell.

 

HAVANNA THOMPSON - NURSERY ASSISTANT

Hi my name is Havannah, I started working at Stepping Stones in September 2015 and I am taking care of the children in Green Room 1.  I am currently doing a Level 3 apprenticeship. I would describe myself as a fun outgoing person. Also in my spare time I look after my younger siblings and I like taking them to their activities which are piano lessons, football training, swimming and dance lessons.

GAELLE BRADLEY - NURSERY ASSISTANT

My name is Gaelle Bradley. I am French and I moved to England a few years ago. I started working at Stepping Stones in April 2015 as a volunteer and was offered a full time position in September 2015 looking after the children in Blue Room 1. I have a Master degree in Communication and Media Studies. I started my career working in London as a fashion PR, I then moved back to France to start my own fashion business which I successfully ran for 5 years. After having my little girl Zoe-Rose in 2013 I got very interested in childrens development, I was fascinated to see how quick she was learning new things. That is when I decided to study again and I started a Level 3 in Early Years Education in April 2015. In my spare time I love travelling, cooking and spending time with my family. 

KATIE OWEN - ROOM LEADER

B.A HONS IN EARLY YEARS AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

My name is Katie Owen. I am the  Blue Room 1 Leader at Stepping Stones. In July 2015 I graduated and gained a degree in Early Years and Educational Development. After being a member of supply staff at Stepping Stones for a long while, I started work as a full time member of the team in June 2015 and became Room Leader in October 2015. This is my first job as an Early Years Practitioner, I always wanted to work with children from a young age and in the future I hope to become an Early Years teacher. 

In my spare time I enjoy going to the cinema and spending time with my friends.

NADIA BUJUDO - NURSERY NURSE

NVQ LEVEL 3

My name is Nadia Bujudo, I am originally from Portugal and I can speak spanish. I am a level 3 qualified practitoner and I work with children from 6 weeks - 5 years of age. I have gained experience by doing placements and Stepping stones was one of them.  I started a full time job with Stepping stones in June 2015 and I am currently caring for the children in Red Room .

I have a daughter and in my free time I enjoy spending time with her.

DOMINIQUE MARAGH - ROOM LEADER

NVQ LEVEL 3

My name is Dominique Maragh. I first started childcare at the age of 18 when I also completed my NVQ Level 3. I began as a nursery assistant and have worked my way up to be Room Leader. I joined the Stepping Stones team in February 2015 and I am the Room Leader of Green Room 2. Throughout my childcare experience I have completed various different courses such as EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) training, tuning into 2 year olds and First Aid courses. I have also completed the first year of my Early Years Foundation Degree. I am a very outgoing person and very passionate about childcare. My hobbies are reading, cooking and socialsing with friends.

RADIQUA BARKER - NURSERY NURSE

NVQ LEVEL 3

I started at Stepping Stones in October 2014. I work full time in the Green Room 3. I have gained my Level 2 and 3 in Childcare through college. I have also gained my First Aid, Safe Guarding, and Health and Safety qualifications through college. I have got a little boy of my own and I spend my time taking him to the park. I enjoy shopping and listening to music.

SARAH TURTON - NURSERY NURSE

Hello my name is Sarah Turton. I am a fully qualified Level 3 Child Practitioner. I went to college straight after school and did my level 2 Children and workforce course, I passed the Level 2 whilst I was at another Day Nursery and I also did my Level 3 Apprenticeship. I started working at Stepping Stones in April 2014 as a supply member of staff and then in June I was offered a full time position. At the moment I am caring for the children in Blue Room 2. In my spare time I like to go shopping, watch television, listen to music and chill out.

AMELIA TONGUE - NURSERY ASSISTANT

NVQ LEVEL 2

Hello my name is Amelia Tongue. I started at Stepping Stones in November 2013. I have looked after the children in all of the playrooms and they have all been enjoyable to work in. Whilst being a student I was at college and Stepping Stones  and I gained my Level 2 in Childcare. I was offered an Apprenticeship in June 2014 to train and complete my Level 3 with Stepping Stones. I looked after the babies for quite a while and I am now based in Red Room, I love this age group and all of the children are lovely.

On the weekends I enjoy going to the cinema, going clothes shopping and spending time with my two younger brothers.

CHLOE WELCH - SENIOR NURSERY NURSE AND ROOM LEADER

NVQ LEVEL 3 AND BA HONS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDIES

My name is Chloe. I am one of two Senior Nursery Nurses and also Room Leader of Green Room One. I started working at Stepping Stones in September 2014 and in October 2105 was promoted to Senior Nursery Nurse. I achieved my NVQ Level Three in Childrens Care and Learning and Development in 2011. I then went on to do my Degree, BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies. Alongside my Degree I was The Manager of a breakfast and after school club. In July 2014 I graduated from University.

Throughout my time at school I did my Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. I spent two weeks in Iceland doing my expedition.

In my spare time I enjoy walking, swimming and spending time with my family and friends.

ZOE BRENNAN - NURSERY NURSE

NVQ LEVEL 3

My name is Zoe. I have always wanted to work with children and joined Stepping Stones in July 2004. I am based in Green Room 2 at the moment. I went to college for a year and gained a qualification in Childcare and Education (C.C.E) which is equivalent to the NVQ 2. Whilst at college I did placements in a Nursery School working with 3-5 year olds and a private day nursery working with babies. I completed my NVQ Level 3 in 2006. I have attended a Behavioural Management course which I learnt a lot from and really enjoyed. I also have a First Aid Certificate and I have gained a certificate for Child Protection. I went on a Diversity course in January 2008. In 2006 I was involved in the work for Quality Assurance at the nursery.

I like spending time with my family and social networking keeps me in contact with my friends which I can not see as often as I would like.

TOM HOLMES - FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

After attending Nottingham Boy's High School and receiving A Levels  in Mathematics, Economics and Physics I studied at Leeds Metropolitan University. Graduating with a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Economics for business.

I joined Stepping Stones in June 2014. I enjoy working in the family business which I have been a part of since 2000 when we all worked together to start the nursery from the very beginning.

As Finance Director I calculate bills for over 200 children monthly, this requires a knowledge of both of the 'Two Year Early Learning Program' and the 'Three-Four Year Education Grant' schemes, within this role I have day to day dealing with customers developing customer relationships.

I also train the Management team and staff at Stepping Stones in the use of our nursery development and management software, my idea to innovate the nurseries development and billing structures is saving time weekly and is allowing the staff to spend more time aiding the growth and development of the children.

I am extremely outgoing and social. In my spare time I play rugby, cricket and golf for various clubs across Nottinghamshire as well coaching cricket to children ageing from 5 - 16 years of age.

JAN GRATION - NURSERY NURSE

I gained my NVQ Level 3 in May 2006 so have many years of experience caring for and educating children at various settings in nurseries and schools. I currently look after the children in Green Room 2.

Personal outside interests of mine are reading, video games, watching movies, astronomy and general science.

Dorcus Saunders - Nursery Nurse

My name is Dorcus and I joined the Stepping Stones team in January 2015. I currently work with the children in Green Room 1. I have achieved my NVQ 2 and 3 in Childcare in 2009. I have completed courses on Diversity, Child Protection and Safe Guarding. When I lived in Birmingham I enjoyed Baby sitting.

 I am a very active person, I like playing sports, spending time with family and friends. I like going to the cinema, watching Formula One racing and Travelling.
